… like New Yorkers
A Street-Photo-Ethnography in 10 Days

In March 2012 I was on a ten day vacation to New York City. For a hungry photographer it’s a more-than-you-can-eat-buffet. With this book I pursue two different approaches to street-photography. The first catches fleeting moments, urban environment and the light that interests me. The second approach is more still, descriptive and displays more of a person’s identity. Both are equally intuitive, but the second approach makes it possible to talk to strangers first so it becomes more of a portrait. The subtitle of the book “A Street-Photo-Ethnography in 10 Days“ refers to my two different ways of photographing life in a city.
